Mains papers (3 × 250 marks)
Three descriptive papers build on Prelims themes. Write with sub-headings, committee references, and Tamil Nadu case studies.
Paper I – History, Culture, Society
Indian + Tamil history, social issues, women/child welfare, culture & heritage, urbanisation, disaster management, ethics caselets.
Paper II – Polity & Governance
Constitution, federalism, public administration, social justice, welfare programmes, e-governance, transparency, and accountability.
Paper III – Economy, Science, & Environment
TN economy, agriculture, industrial growth, infrastructure, science & tech, environment & climate resilience.
Each paper: 3 hours, 250 marks. Blend factual depth (reports, data) with solutions framed for Tamil Nadu administration. Practice one 10-marker + one 15/20-marker daily.

Tamil Eligibility Paper
Mandatory 300-mark paper; need 40% to evaluate GS papers. Based on Class X Tamil level.
Covers grammar, comprehension, translation, letter/essay formats, proverbs, and authorship matching. Practise timed writing in Tamil to avoid handwriting errors.

Interview & Personality Test
100 marks; panel tests administrative temperament, ethical clarity, and Tamil Nadu awareness.
Be ready with service preferences, district profiles, water management, GST implementation in TN, urban planning, law-and-order cases. Record mock interviews to refine tone and structure.
